*Eight stents, seven from CAD blockages, one from a spontaneous dissection. Three heart attacks. I'm a poster adult for bad cadiac health, I ate a high fat diet, smoked, worked a high stress life and didn't exercise. I paid the price, but have reversed those choices, and am feeling much better. I had a pacemaker inserted in February 2009 and feeling incredible. This picture was taken at my oldest grandgirls graduation from high school. She has several nice scholarships at the University, we are quite proud. |

That's progress!
Car seats are a far cry from the old days, when we jumped in on a bench seat in, say, the family 1957 Oldsmobile. Today it's matter of folding up by the numbers and it's not an easy thing to do, and yes, the driver and passenger procedures are different. We recently sold our 2005 Honda Accord and bought a 2010 Honda CRV as getting in and out was so hard in the Accord.
Well done.
- Flue Shots or No Shots by nwcoaster
In 1957 or 1958 I caught the 'Asian' flu which was the Grandmother of the current strain. I went from the flu into pneumonia and was out of high school very, very ill for six weeks. You bet I get the flu shot and have every year since it's offered. The arguement against flu shots are very weak, the arguement for getting them is very strong. Using the logic out there against being injected is an exercise in pole-vaulting over mouse turds in my opinion.
Had a really rough night last night, it makes me a bit cranky today. I've had trouble getting my breath since the anesthetic.

Thanks Gretta and Sue.
Yes, the heart meds were stopped, Sue. I'm not too hungry yet.

Bless you, Brat and you too, Sue. Team work is the answer!
