It's been 10 days since I've had any chest pain. Yippee!! I'm such a wuss, hate to take pills but the Diltiazem is doing the trick. I kept trying to get by just taking it rarely, only on the "bad" heart days. After all, that's what the new cardio said to do. And he didn't think the chest pain was cardiac related (I love to rub that in). But when it was happening almost every day, I got fed up. Now it's been 10 whole pain free days. I even carried a 10 lb bag of walnuts across the parking lot this morning, even walked briskly. No pain at all. Ahhh. It feels good to be normal.

Those were the doctor's orders: if you have a day when the arrhythmia kicks in and won't settle down, pop a pill. I did record 2 juicy times of arrhythmia and chest pain when I last had the monitor but he decided the pain was not cardiac in nature, even though he hadn't seen the results yet. And this was before starting the Diltiazem.

I don't know. It's dangerous to self diagnose but I'm guessing the pains may be vasospasms. And Diltiazem helps those as well as my Raynauds (also a type of vasospasm). So I'm killing 2 birds with one stone.

My libido went some place else. That's another story not for mixed company.

I guess that is the latest thing....the pill in pocket treatment. My daughter weaned herself off of her meds that she was taking daily for her tachy.....she was monitored, and it took 2 weeks. now she has the meds in her purse, and the doctors cell phone number as well. I think he thinks she gets panic like symptoms. Anyway, I am glad you are feeling better! :)
