I noticed the cardiomyopathy in animals while firts checking about the problem. Never thought to treat myself as I would a dog. (Even though I have been sometimes likened to a female dog.) Interesting.

Hi Half.... cardio myopathy is a condition of the muscle of the heart...it is a deterioration of the heart muscle, for whatever reason. Often the reason is never found, and it is a progressive disease..I think mine was a virus..sometimes a heart transplant is required. It often attacks young people. The damaged heart cells often cause more damge in the surrounding tissue, and it spreads. The muscle damage can affect the electrical pathways in the heart, causing irregular heart beats. The electrical and muscular damage is permanent. Medication slows or stops the process, and the "good" heart muscle can get stronger. Neuropathy, on the other hand, is a condition of the nerve endings...it can be from diabetes, back injury, poor circulation etc. Think of when your leg falls asleep....then you get the burning pins and needls....that is because your nerves are reacting. It can be controlled and even fixed if caught early. It will not kill you, but it can make your life miserable. I had this conversation with my husband just this morning.....I have neuropathy in the nerves from my back, going down my right leg....he wants to get me fixed. OK. I will give it a try, but I am not going to spend the rest of my life and every dime I ever earned trying to fix what can't be done. Nobody died from this, but think of the extreme case, like a broken neck. Nerves have a way of not coming back if it goes on long enough. Hope this helps.

Looks like we had a dusting of snow last night and they're predicting another possible dusting later this morning. I can't remember seeing any snow this late in the year. Then again, I don't remember a lot of things.

Knight: careful with that fire below. Don't want to get burned. My basement is dry and moldy, not good for anything. [image]
